These important appointments mark the airline’s seventh Emirati Airport Manager and fourth Emirati Assistant Airport Manager appointment in the company’s history. In total, more than 190 United Arab Emirates (UAE) nationals have been named leaders within the airline at airport destinations across the Middle East, Europe, Asia, Australia and the Americas. Mr. Al Memari and Mr. Al Mazrouei will serve in management positions at two important U.S. cities within the Etihad Airways extensive global network, including SFO and LAX where the airline offers daily nonstop service to and from Abu Dhabi – and on to the world.

Geert Boven, Etihad Airways’ Senior Vice President, Airport Services, said: “Etihad Airways is pleased to announce the appointments of Omar and Khaled to key leadership positions within the airline at San Francisco International Airport and Los Angeles International Airport. Their appointments will further ensure the continued growth and success of our U.S. operations.”

Prior to his appointment to Airport Manager, Mr. Al Memari served as Assistant Airport Manager at SFO. He joined Etihad Airways in 2010 where he served as duty manager over the next several years at Sydney Airport, Geneva Airport, and Dulles International Airport in Washington, D.C.

“I’m excited to continue my service with Etihad Airways as Airport Manager for San Francisco International Airport, one of the most popular travel destinations within the U.S. and I look forward to providing our guests with the highest levels of hospitality and service available,” said Mr. Al Memari.

In his new role, Mr. Al Memari will be responsible for Etihad’s day-to-day operation at SFO, ensuring that Etihad guests receive truly world-class service — from check-in to boarding to arrival. He will also serve as the airline’s key liaison with airport authorities, local government agencies and third-party service providers to ensure Etihad’s seamless and efficient operation in the region.

Mr. Al Mazrouei was appointed Assistant Airport Manager, LAX from his previous role as Graduate Manager, Airport Operations where he will be responsible for all facets of airport operations and guest services. Mr. Al Mazrouei began his career at Etihad Airways in 2013 in the Graduate Manager Program, where he was trained in all aspects of Etihad’s operations departments from check-in to boarding. Mr. Al Mazrouei previously served on Etihad’s team in Chicago at O’Hare International Airport before being selected to assist the team at SFO.

“Etihad Airways’ Graduate Manager Program provided me with the training, support and opportunities to develop the essential skills I needed to take on the role of Assistant Airport Manager at LAX of which I am very excited,” said Mr. Al Mazrouei.
