On one of the busiest streets in a tourist area in Jakarta, Indonesia, where there are many luxury hotels, office buildings, and a Starbucks, at least 6 massive explosions and gunfire have been reported.

It appears to be the result of a terrorist suicide bombing.

According to reports from the Jakarta police, gunmen are still shooting in the metro TV area, and gunshots could be heard in front of the Sarinah shopping mall. They suspect one of the bombs was located at a traffic police post.

At least one death has been reported, along with casualties, although no definite numbers are yet available.

One of the explosions was close to the local UN office.
